"Ben and Maggie are the greatest! As an endurance athlete, I have various aches and pains. I give them a call and they figure a way to get me in. ART hurts like heck, but they get the job done so I can continue with my training. I highly recommend Eastside Ideal Health!"

"I'm a Crossfitter and it's hard to find a sports Chiropractor that understands my workout routine. Every time I go in for an adjustment I leave feeling so much better. Also they take time to teach me how to foam-roll my tight muscles properly and how to stretch properly. My husband and I love it!"

Is chiropractic care a safe option?
Yes, chiropractic care is a safe, evidence-based treatment method that is effective for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. It’s suitable for people of all ages, including children and pregnant women, ensuring a holistic approach to health and well-being.
Should I expect pain from chiropractic?

Chiropractic care typically does not cause pain. Most patients experience relief and a sense of well-being following a chiropractic adjustment. Some might feel minor discomfort during the treatment, which usually subsides quickly. Chiropractors are trained to ensure the utmost comfort and safety during the treatment process.

How sore will I be after my adjustment?
It’s possible to experience some soreness following a chiropractic adjustment, similar to the feeling after starting a new exercise routine. This is a normal response as your body adjusts to the alignment. Any soreness is typically mild and short-lived, often resolving within a day or two. Your chiropractor can provide tips to minimize discomfort and facilitate a smooth recovery.
How long will my chiropractic visit last?
The duration of your initial chiropractic visit can vary, typically lasting about 45 minutes to an hour. This session often includes a comprehensive assessment of your health history, a physical examination, and the treatment itself. Follow-up visits are generally shorter, usually around 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the nature and complexity of the treatment required. Your chiropractor will provide a more accurate estimate based on your specific needs.
How frequently will I need chiropractic treatments?
The frequency of chiropractic treatments varies depending on your individual condition and treatment goals. Initially, more frequent visits may be required to manage pain or address specific issues. As you improve, the frequency typically decreases. Your chiropractor will develop a personalized treatment plan after assessing your condition, which will include recommendations for the number and frequency of visits needed to achieve optimal results. Regular re-evaluations are also common to adjust the plan as necessary.
Does chiropractic care wear out my joints?
No, chiropractic care does not wear out your joints. In fact, it’s designed to improve joint function and promote overall joint health. Chiropractic adjustments help to align the body, relieve pressure on the joints, and enhance mobility. When performed by a trained and licensed chiropractor, these adjustments are safe and beneficial for joint health. Regular chiropractic care can actually be preventative, helping to reduce the risk of joint degeneration over time.
How can I pay for chiropractic care?

Paying for chiropractic care can be managed in several ways:

  1. Insurance Coverage: Many health insurance plans cover chiropractic services. Check with your insurance provider to understand the extent of your coverage, including any co-pays or deductibles.
  2. Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs): If you have an HSA or FSA, you can often use these funds to pay for chiropractic care.
  3. Payment Plans or Sliding Scale Fees: Some chiropractic clinics offer payment plans or sliding scale fees based on income, making the treatment more affordable.
  4. Out-of-Pocket Payments: If insurance coverage is not available or is limited, you can pay for chiropractic services out-of-pocket. Clinics may accept various forms of payment, such as cash, credit cards, or checks.

It’s advisable to discuss payment options directly with the chiropractic office to find the best solution for your situation.

Is getting an adjustment part of every chiropractic treatment?
No, an adjustment is not necessarily a part of every chiropractic treatment. Chiropractic care is tailored to the individual needs and conditions of each patient. While spinal adjustments are a common and significant part of chiropractic care, treatment plans may also include other methods like soft tissue therapy, exercises, lifestyle advice, and nutritional counseling. Your chiropractor will determine the most appropriate treatment techniques for your specific situation.
